We sent our stars off into the future
We graduated more than 5,000 undergraduate and graduate students during the ceremonies we held at the YT脺 Davutpa艧a Campus from July 6 to 10, 2026. More than 22,000 family members and friends of our students shared in the excitement of the ceremonies, during which our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ey眉p Debik, presented plaques to the top three students in each department.
As Y谋ld谋z Technical University, we held our graduation ceremonies for the 2025鈥2026 academic year from July 6鈥10, 2026, at the Davutpa艧a Congress and Culture Center. As we sent off 5,205 students graduating from our 10 faculties and 3 institutes into the future, we hosted 22,870 family members and guests of our students on our campus over the course of five days. The graduation ceremonies were attended by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ey眉p Debik; our Vice Rector for Education and Teaching, Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya; our Vice Rector for Administration, Prof. Dr. Ahmet G枚ksel A臒arg眉n; our Vice Rector for Research and Planning, Prof. Dr. G眉leda Engin; our Chief Advisor to the Rector, Prof. Dr. 脰zer 脟谋nar; our Dean of Students, Prof. Dr. Gamze Varank; as well as institute directors, deans, department chairs, and our faculty members.
Plaques Presented by Our Rector to Top-Ranking Graduates
During the graduation ceremonies, where our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ey眉p Debik, addressed the students and their families, plaques were presented to the top three students in each department. While the top-ranking students received their plaques from our Rector, Prof. Dr. Debik, our undergraduate graduates were presented with their diplomas by deans and department chairs, and our master鈥檚 and doctoral graduates received their diplomas from our institute directors.
鈥淭urn the Knowledge You Have Gained into Social Benefit鈥
In his speeches at the graduation ceremonies, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ey眉p Debik, thanked our faculty members for their guidance and the families for their sacrifices.
Calling on our graduates to keep their scientific curiosity alive, to continuously develop themselves, and to transform knowledge into social benefit, Rector Ey眉p Debik said, 鈥淣ever give up on researching, questioning, and learning. In the age of artificial intelligence, your greatest strength will be your ability to think critically, generate original ideas, strengthen your intellectual foundation, and apply your knowledge for the benefit of humanity,鈥 he said.
Advising our distinguished graduates to maintain strong ties with YT脺 and the YT脺 Foundation, Rector Debik said, 鈥淏e sure to join the Alumni Platform run by our YT脺 Alumni Coordination Office, make a point of attending the annual alumni reunions, and strive throughout your lives to be a strong part of the Y谋ld谋z Family and to create value. Let knowledge be your guide and your conscience your compass. I congratulate each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart,鈥 he said.
